Debloating Tips & Tricks

Debloating Tips & Tricks

It may not be the sexiest of topics, but it is one we should talk about more regularly, without fear of judgement. Bloating can feel like a real setback, especially if we have made progress in the path we are on, but whether we like it or not, bloating is normal, and bloating is common, especially in women.

I think we can all agree that bloating is uncomfortable physically, but it can also have an affect mentally as well – perhaps leading us to believe that we haven’t made as much progress as we thought, or that we are doing something wrong. Well, fear not – not only can you take our Dawn Booster, which aids de bloating, but we have put together some reasonings, tips and tricks below, to help you navigate through and hopefully relieve any discomfort bloating causes.

Bloating is the expansion of your lower abdomen, leaving you feeling puffy and uncomfortable and various reasons can be to blame:

  1. Hormones – Period / Birth Control, etc.
  2. Dehydration
  3. Digestive Issues
  4. Build-up of Gas

Now all of the above would require different approaches to tackle, but we have highlighted some tips to take on board, to hopefully pin point where your source of bloating is coming from.

Drink More Water:

The holy grail, we know, but drinking more water can help to restore your body’s balance and aid in hydrating your body. You can spice this up by adding lemon, cucumber or watermelon for additional health benefits as well. By drinking fizzy drinks as a comparison, we are just adding carbonated sugars into the body, which will only add flame to the fire – so, drink more water, it’s as easy as that.

Food Diary:

Keep a food diary and note down when you start to feel bloated, and the time of day this happened. Little by little, you will start to see patterns in the food you have eaten, that could be contributing to your bloating. There are also a few foods that are said to cause bloating – beans, onions, cabbage, cauliflower – so try cutting these out, along with a diary to spot the trends!

Ginger has a wonderful way of soothing your stomach, because it can help to stimulate your digestive system – adding this into your diet where possible, should moderately help ease any uncomfortable bloating you feel after meals.

Peppermint Tea:

After dinner, instead of reaching for the ice cream, or a chocolate bar that we all crave so dearly – try having a peppermint tea. Peppermint can help with inflammation and is also said to aid in relaxing the digestive tract, while you sleep.

Whichever tip you take, it’s important to know that bloating is very common and nothing to be embarrassed about – take time to work out which works for you and enjoy that wonderful un-bloated feeling.

But while we are here, who doesn’t love a helping hand? We have specifically formulated our Dawn Booster with you in mind, ensuring it is packed full of natural, plant-based, health boosting ingredients. Dawn has a lovely blend of flavour and goodness, but it’s the probiotics and amino acids that you can thank for those de-bloating benefits.
